President Franklin D. Roosevelt first declared March Red Cross Month in 1943. Each president since continues the tradition of recognizing the lifesaving services provided by the Red Cross and the incredible volunteers who make it possible.

Since the tragic Haitian earthquakes hit in January 2010, the Red Cross has been on the scene providing ongoing support.

Your donations have helped the Red Cross reach hundreds of thousands of Haitian survivors with relief supplies, food, medical services, water, sanitation support and shelter. The Red Cross one-month report shows how your donations have helped.

The Red Cross was also able to send blood products to Haiti to support transfusion needs thanks to you.
